Our Story
Back in 2016, I ventured into the world of entrepreneurship by establishing my licensed cannabis logistics company in Oregon, a venture that continues to thrive to this day.
When I initially embarked on this journey within the cannabis sector, I did so with no prior cannabis experience and a relatively superficial understanding of the industry’s dynamics.
I unexpectedly found myself embracing a path of self-exploration and growth as I left behind my corporate career.
Here’s the interesting part—my reliance on medications had been minimal, and my relationship with wine was more of an occasional indulgence.
Cannabis had never factored into my personal choices, and I didn’t fit the profile of someone in this space.
Though cannabis had never fit into my personal choices, that changed for me with a revelation in 2015.
I encountered a remarkable cancer survivor who shared how cannabis had positively impacted her recovery and subsequent remission.
That sparked a deep curiosity in me, leading to extensive research that consistently echoed her narrative.
From trying cannabis for the first time...
A colleague and fellow cannabis professional observed my morning stiffness and introduced me to a specially formulated topical roll-on.
She assured me that the THC content was negligible, ruling out any potential psychoactive effects. The blend of CBD and a trace of THC, she explained, was designed to alleviate muscle discomfort.
This marked my initiation into the world of CBD in 2016.
By 2018, driven by both thorough research and personal experience, I found myself convinced of the therapeutic benefits of CBD.
...to starting a CBD company...
With every new insight, my desire to contribute to the evolving cannabis landscape grew stronger.
While I lacked expertise as a grower, manufacturer, or retailer, I recognized the crucial role that logistics played.
Fast forward to 2021, and the conception of Hempress Wholesale—an online B2B platform focused on premium Hemp CBD products.
This endeavor led me to connect with organic hemp cultivators, creators, and manufacturers across the nation.
Our official launch took place in August 2022.
...and then another.
It quickly became apparent that there was still something missing.
There were many consumers who didn’t have access to a CBD store—especially not one with standards and quality they felt they could trust.
That led me to launch Hempress Marketplace in Spring 2023.
Every brand featured on Hempress undergoes rigorous scrutiny.
Personally experiencing each product (excluding pet offerings), I can vouch for their quality.
Third-party testing underscores their reliability, and we meticulously trace each product back to its origin—the hemp farm—ensuring transparency in cultivation practices.
My commitment to these products is such that I share them with my family, spanning generations and even extending to our beloved pets.
